When our wagon gets stuck in the mud, God is
much more likely to assist the man who gets out to push than the man who merely
raises his voice in prayer—no matter how eloquent the oration. President Thomas S.
Monson put it this way: “It is not enough to want to
make the effort and to say we’ll make the
effort. … It’s in the doing, not just the thinking, that we accomplish our goals. If we
constantly put our goals off, we will never see them fulfilled.” 4

Look like a pioneer/clothing
Well trekkers, we hope that all of you are getting in shape for the big day so that you can hike like a pioneer. Now we need to make sure we are outfitted to look the part as well.
Below is a clothing list. Use your resources well, borrow from family or friends or neighbors who have been on pioneer trek before. You will need two outfits. Pioneer clothing will be worn from the time you board the bus until we return home.
If you have any questions about clothing contact our clothing specialist Maline Robinson at malinerob@msn.com
